News And Events
This Year we will be attending two of the new ‘Flower Power’ fairs, which are being held at some wonderful locations around the North of England.
We will be at Newburgh Priory, Thirsk in April and at Duncombe Park, Helmsley in September. (See List of Dates below).
We are also holding a special event day at the nursery to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of William Turner – the ‘Father of English botany’. We are creating a 16th Century quarter garden using plants of that period, and which will be available to buy at our event. Plant historian Dr. Marie Addyman will be on hand to talk about his life and times, and offering advice on creating your own quarter/knot garden at home. The nursery will open especially for this event on Wed 11th June 10am – 1pm, admission £3, which includes refreshments.
We are also attending a sale of ‘old and interesting’ plants as part of the same celebration, in Carlisle Park, Morpeth in July (See List of Dates below).
